Carol
Hartman is a Northeastern North Carolina-based Business
Consultant, Trainer, and Professional Business and Life
Coach with a successful thirty-two year career track record.
In 1992 she transitioned from the in-house corporate
environment to launch her own business. Because of her firm
belief in the need for balance within business organizations
and is life, Carol named her business Balanced Act
in 2001.
As a consultant, she works
closely with her clients to increase sales, launch new
products and services, bolster staff productivity, plan and
manage change, and improve both external and internal
communications. Her focus is primarily on the human
resources side of the business. Her training programs
include topics such as sales, account management, customer
service, written and oral communications, and management,
staff, and team development. Her client roster includes
businesses of all sizes and a diversified array of
industries. She also works with individuals to develop their
professional speaking skills.
In 2000, Carol expanded her
consulting and training services to include business and
personal coaching. As a coach, she assists individuals and
businesses in their quest to thrive in today’s fast-paced
environment while maintaining a committed focus on what’s
truly important. Her primary concern is in helping
individuals and businesses grow through their challenges and
obstacles to become the very best that they can be.

dream to return to her Southern roots and to relocate to
North Carolina’s Outer Banks. She is currently an involved
member of the Outer Banks and Currituck Chambers of Commerce
and is Vice Chair of the Dare County Substance Abuse Task
